I am Nix ZimLaw (they/them). I was born and raised in Southern California. I received a 2-year degree in Acting from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where I studied under performance industry professionals in both Los Angeles and New York City. I have also earned a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Long Beach in Narrative Film Production.

Working in front of the camera for acting led me to find my passion for filmmaking. After years of trying different roles on set, from assistant camera, to sound, to directing, I found how much I loved working with the camera. I decided in invest in my own equipment so that I could tell stories of my own, and help capture other’s stories too.

Through my education I have crafted my talents and found a love for working behind the camera in both film and photography.

I am currently based in Long Beach, California, where I live with my fiancée and puppy dog.
